The Pro Wrestling Magic Dark Arts Championship has been a prominent part of the promotion since April 23, 2016.
Everett Cross won a six-way battle, defeating Hoost Traplash, Joey Adams, Preacher Smiley and Steve Off to win the title at the Morgan Jr Arena in Wallington, NJ at SuperShow. The belt was given immediate credibility, as Cross held the title for the next fourteen months, defending the gold across multiple promotions.
Various top level independent stars, including Adam Payne, the Meadowlands Monster, “the Brooklyn Outlaw” Donovan, Azrieal, Darius Carter, Isaiah Wolf and Alex Reiman, have made the championship a vastly sought after title in the Magic Kingdom.
The rules of the title have been very fluid, depending on the champion. I dare say that the Dark Arts Championship might be one of my favorite titles across the wrestling landscape.
Now, on April 11, 2026, close to ten years since the men’s championship was created, two of the top female independent talents in the Metropolitan area will be competing for the inaugural Women’s Dark Arts Championship!
Journey Burke, ESQ will be facing the tenacious Killa Jay for the right to become the first champion at One!
At 24 years old, Killa Jay has the world in front of her. Trained by cult legend Mario Mancini and the legendary “Glory” of Paul Roma, Jay’s rough-and-tough style has garnered her fear within the locker room. She’s no-nonsense and isn’t afraid of a fight. Becoming the inaugural Women’s Dark Arts Champion would put a lot of eyes on her.
Meanwhile, Journey Burke, ESQ has not been seen in Pro Wrestling Magic since her PWM Women’s Championship loss to Tiffani Avatar at Shane’s World in October 2025. Instead of resting on her laurels, she’s rededicated herself to in-ring competition and has become laser-focused on regaining her credibility in the Magic Kingdom. If she becomes the inaugural Women’s Dark Arts Champion, all eyes will be on her yet again.
Can Killa Jay take the first step towards the next chapter of her wrestling career by winning the Women’s Dark Arts Title on April 11? Or will Journey Burke, ESQ lay down the law and reestablish herself in Pro Wrestling Magic by being the first at One?
Come to the Meadowlands YMCA and check it out. You’ll be glad you did.
