For close to five-and-a-half months, Dragon Bane and Alejandro have absolutely been dominant as GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.
Ever since winning the Pro Wrestling NOAH Jr Tag League on March 1 against Alpha Wolf and Kai Fujimara & the subsequent title victory against Los Intocables a week later, the ever-evolving and growing chemistry of the masked duo have been unbelievable to watch.
With Bane’s majestic high-flying and Alejandro’s plucky never-say-die attitude, the pair have made four tremendous title defenses.
Their fifth one on August 10 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan was their toughest to date, facing off with Atsushi Kotoge & Hi69 of TEAM NOAH.
The legacy of Kotoge and Hi69 in NOAH has been nothing short of incredible. Kotoge is a three time GHC Junior Heavyweight and an ELEVEN TIME Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titleholder, while Hi69 has held the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles three times. Their sheer dominance as light heavyweight tag team bruisers, albeit not together, has been incredibly impressive.
The match itself, which was the semi-main event of the event, tore the house down.
For over twenty minutes, these two tandems fought with their hearts. In the beginning, the younger and more energetic champions kept a frenetic pace, complete with double team maneuvers and stereo strikes.

However, the pace slowed down after Kotoge DRILLED Alejandro with an Air Raid Crash on the apron, which is the hardest part of the squared circle.
For the next dozen minutes, Kotoge & Hi69 maintained their control, utilizing their experience on both men. Although Bane and Alejandro fought courageously, including a spectacular double-team pop-up frankensteiner, TEAM NOAH kept their firm control.

Towards the end of the match, all four men laid out their offensive attacks, but nothing was as spectacular as Hi69 delivering an unbelievable flying splash to Alejandro through a table on the arena floor!

At the end of the day, the heart of Alejandro persevered, delivering a rolling Code Red for a three-count and another successful title defense!
To this writer, as I have been stating in past articles, Dragon Bane and Alejandro are the best tag team on the planet right now. It seems as if the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions are growing stronger in each title defense. I truly believe that they might be unstoppable.

To every tag team stateside or in any other country, if you want to test your mettle against the best, then you need to find your way to NOAH. Dragon Bane and Alejandro can't miss and are a smash at the box office. This win against TEAM NOAH solidified it.
