Two Former "Crusaders" Team Up One More Time For Shot At ACE Tag Titles

On Friday Night, August 8, 2025, at the Teaneck Knights of Columbus in Teaneck, NJ, Dan Maff and Shawn Donavan - Sent 2 Slaughter - will be defending their ACE Tag Team Championships for the first time at ANARCHY.
However, they will be facing off against two men who have an illustrious history with one another: ACE Heavyweight Champion Anthony Gangone & Mr. Darius Carter!
In ACE, Carter and Gangone have been figuratively joined at the hip in their battles over the ACE Heavyweight Title, which Gangone won back at Hero’s Celebration.
However, there was a time…
A time for change.
In the mid 2010s, “Wrestling’s Richest Prize” and a rookie Gangone were a part of independent wrestling’s most imitated yet never duplicated revolutionary Crusade For Change.
Along with TJ Marconi and the M1nute Men, the “Guy Fawkes” masked vigilantes set out to make Beyond Wrestling their battleground. In many people’s opinion, they might have been the greatest multi-man tag team performers of all time. Back at Americanrana 2016, they picked up the biggest win of their careers, defeating the Strong Style Thugs of Homicide, Eddie Kingston, B-Boy, and…DAN MAFF.
Once the Crusade went their separate ways, we all know what happened. Gangone became “Dr. Sleep” and became not only a former ACE Diamond Division Champion, but is the current ACE Heavyweight Champion. Mr. Carter became the King of the Tri-State Independents, holding Heavyweight Championships across the spectrum, including a two-time Super 8 Champion in 2022 & 2024.
Now, these once tight-knit allies have reunited to go and take on Maff and Donavan for the ACE Tag Team gold. Can Gangone become not only a double champion, but an ACE Triple Crown winner? Or will Sent 2 Slaughter retain in their first defense of the Tag gold?
Change is inevitable…
