RICKY RICHARDS RETURNS TO ACE TO FACE BUDDY TOMAS AT HERO'S CELEBRATION

Hero’s Celebration on March 7, 2026 is a night of returns to American Championship Entertainment as they honor the late, great Mike Morgan, Jr.

So many names are coming back, from William Wyeth, Mike Lewis, Alvin Alvarez, and Astro Morales. But there’s one guy who is completely underrated in the annals of ACE history that is coming to Teaneck, NJ to return and make an impact.

That man is RICKY RICHARDS.

Richards was legitimately a blue-chipper throughout the 2010s of ACE. Silent but violent, he became a tag team specialist, learning under the tutelage of Mike Donovan and becoming ACE Tag Team Champions. The Long Island native was so technically sound in between the ropes.

However, it wasn’t until 2016 that he really came into his own. Becoming allies with his brother from another mother, Aiden Baal, Richards became an absolute monster. Angry, bitter, and pissed off, the Dukes became ACE Tag Team Champions on November 5, 2016 and had a stranglehold on the division for 210 days. They were THAT good.

Ricky left wrestling in 2022 for a sabbatical following a Hockey Fight with a certain bald headed cretin in Project: Diverge and has made only one appearance since - in a tag team match for CEP Wrestling in Long Island in 2024. However, with Hero’s Celebration being a night of remembrance, Ricky has signed on the dotted line for a return against a very talented individual.

Ricky will go one-on-one with Buddy Tomas, the umbrella toting bad boy from the Tri-State Area.

I just saw Tomas a few weeks ago in East Rutherford, NJ, and his in-ring instincts are so solid. He has the “it factor” and the confidence to be a star. Richards will have to be extra aggressive to counter-balance the technical wizardry of Tomas. However, just don’t call Tomas “Mary Poppins” when the umbrella opens. He hates that.

But this is going to be a fun fight. It’s going to be impactful.

Most importantly, it’s going to be Mikey. Welcome back, Ricky. I know you’re going to bring it.
