"The Driller" and "The Mad Tailor" Battle for AMW's King of the Mountains on 10/18
Ten days ago on Showdown for Appalachian Mountain Wrestling, there were two semi-final matches for the King of the Mountains Tournament.
Thanks to interference from Evil Eric Porter, “the Mad Tailor” Michael Xodiak defeated El Sriracha Kid, while Southern independent legend Eddie “the Driller” Browning upended Evan Golden, son of WCW cult legend Bunkhouse Buck in the other semi-final.
A few nights ago on the latest Showdown, AMW General Manager, and one day my future best friend, Lemon Juice Jones came out for the formal contract signing between both men for the finals on October 18, 2026 at Bluegrass Brawl.
Quickly, it began to break down into a discussion about respect. Xodiac wants it, and Browning wants him to earn it. The outlandish performer, out of respect, shook the wily veteran’s hand, despite the fact he didn’t respect him. But Driller got the last laugh, leveling “the Mad Tailor” with his patented Cutter through the table!
It wasn’t even a wooden table: it was an old school wooden square table with metal legs. No doubt Browning might have bruised Xodiak’s ribs with that vicious Cutter.
Later on in the night, GM Jones, sitting in his makeshift office for the evening, decided that the King of the Mountains final needed an extra edge to it.
On October 18, 2018, Eddie “the Driller” Browning and “the Mad Tailor” Michael Xodiak do battle for the King of the Mountains in a TABLES MATCH!
I’m proud to ultimately watch this contest when it airs. Browning and Xodiak are oil water. The old pro and the brilliant fashion plate. Who will survive being put through a table. Who will be KING OF THE MOUNTAINS?
