Dr. Sleep vs Power Punch for the PWM Heavyweight Fastpass to Kingdom Come in December
The mother of all under-the-radar matches have been signed for this Saturday night at Pro Wrestling Magic Enter Sandman at the Meadowlands YMCA in East Rutherford, NJ.
“Dr. Sleep” Anthony Gangone will go one-on-one with “Power Punch” Vinny Pacifico and the winner will receive a Heavyweight Fastpass for the main event of Kingdom Come X in December!
Here on Hardway HQ, we have always waxed poetic on how underrated Anthony Gangone is. Developed as a member of the influential and understated Crusade For Change, Gangone has been consistently excellent in between the ropes, becoming one of the best pound-for-pound wrestlers in the Northeast. Several years ago, he evolved into the diabolical “Dr. Sleep” and has become a psychotic performer, down to the Mandible Claw he utilizes as his coup-de-grace.
On the flip side, Vinny Pacifico has broken out as a multi-faceted star. Already arguably the greatest Junior Heavyweight Champion in the Magic Kingdom’s history, Pacifico has continued to evolve as a personality, wrestling as well as acting in independent pictures and indulging in copious amounts of energy drinks.
Now, both men will do battle for the right to main event at Kingdom Come in December as the #1 contender to the PWM Heavyweight Championship. Depending on what happens this Saturday, either Gangone or Pacifico will be facing either Azrieal or the diabolical Mateo Marcelos.
Needless to say, Gangone and Pacifico are two different types of performers. “Dr. Sleep” is methodical, while “Power Punch” fuels off of the fans' enthusiasm. They are both obsessed with being the best.
