The Six-Man Tag Team Tradition During WrestleMania Week RETURNS 4/16/25 in Vegas

For the first time since 2019, the Six-Man Tag Team Tradition returns to WrestleMania Week.
This special match, created and made by Gabe Sapolsky, has been dormant, thanks to a combination of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Mr. Sapolsky becoming fully entrenched in WWE as a behind-the-scenes representative.

However, thanks to the creation of the WWE ID Program, combined with the success of WWE EVOLVE on Tubi, the Six-Man Tag Team Tradition has made a triumphant comeback to WrestleMania Week, as a part of the ID CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT tomorrow night, in conjunction with Game Changer Wrestling and its “Collective” festival.
This year’s Six-Man Tag will be a rematch of the main event of the first episode of WWE EVOLVE between Jackson Drake & Swipe Right and Sean Legacy, Jack Cartwheel, & Cappuccino Jones!
Although Drake & Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes fell in the initial main event on Tubi, it has been BAYLOR AND SMOKES that have reaped in the benefits. Their talent has actually evolved (no pun intended) them to actually competing against the NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom just last week on the CW Network. Meanwhile, Drake, a true prodigy, is quickly rising up the ranks as well.
Sean Legacy is an absolute thoroughbred, actually defeating grizzled veteran and master grappler Timothy Thatcher on the March 26, 2025 edition of WWE EVOLVE. The ultra-caffeinated Jones has become quite the independent wrestling standout, and Cartwheel continues to dazzle and impress fans across the spectrum, showing more ways to counter and innovate with a cartwheel than many Olympic gymnasts.
This match epitomizes the importance of why the Six-Man Tag Team Tradition was created: the future of the wrestling industry competing in a match for not only bragging rights, but the ability to possibly steal the entire weekend.
Mr. Sapolsky put it best on an Instagram post he shared Monday night: I am not going to claim that what I call the Six Man Tag Team Tradition is important to a lot of people, but it’s important to me.
