THE RESPECT WRESTLING TITLE ON THE LINE AT MAGIC 10/17/26
One of the great things about Pro Wrestling Magic is how they are not afraid to recognize other promotions and their championship belts. I admire wrestling synergy (sweet corporate buzzword) in its purest form.
Which is why on October 17, 2026 at the Meadowlands YMCA, we will get to experience that.
Respect Wrestling Heavyweight Champion “Dr. Sleep” Anthony Gangone will be defending his gold at Of Wolf And Man against the incorrigible Smiley!
At Enter Sandman on September 19, Gangone got caught and lost his match to win the Heavyweight Fastpass against “Power Punch” Vinny Pacifico. However, “Dr. Sleep” truly wants to regain his domineering demeanor in the Magic Kingdom following that L.
In conjunction with Respect Wrestling promoter Ray Sanchez, Pro Wrestling Magic has decided to allow Gangone to defend his Heavyweight Title against one of the Magic Kingdom’s most decorated performers in Smiley.
One of Magic’s Grand Slam Champions, Smiley has done it ALL over the eleven years of the company’s existence. It’s amazing to wonder what else “the Psycho Superman” can accomplish. Well, thanks to the partnership between the Magic Kingdom and Respect, we will have a glimpse into that theory.
For Gangone, he is going to have to be more resilient and aware of the quick pin. As we have seen with Smiley over the years, that quick pin can come out of nowhere.
As for Smiley, he has to stay ahead of “Dr. Sleep’s” subtle crazy. Although already unhinged, there’s a hint of emotion behind it. Gangone has NO emotion.
The battle for the Respect Wrestling Heavyweight Championship on October 17 will be a fun special attraction for the Magic Kingdom. Who will walk out as champion?
