RICKY RICHARDS WINS IN HIS RETURN TO ACE

This past Saturday night in Teaneck, NJ, American Championship Entertainment brought a wonderful night of wrestling in memory of the late, great Mike Morgan, Jr with Hero’s Celebration.
So much transpired on this night. The faceoff between Hollywood Inc with Mike Lewis and the ACES with Mike Morgan, ACE legends Donovan, Azrieal, and Rob Vegas in singles competition, and the world-renowned These Freakin’ Empanadas at the food stand. A lively crowd really brought the fun out.
For our excitement on Hardway HQ, Ricky Richards made his long awaited return to not only the tri-state area, but to singles competition. An ACE loyalist, the multiple-time ACE Tag Team Champion found himself immediately put into the fire, facing off with the umbrella-toting and uber-talented Buddy Tomas.
It was a fast-paced, but intense contest. Early on, the young fans in the crowd were heckling Tomas with the “Mary Poppins” chant. The Northern New Jersey crowds are picking it up.
Near the end of the battle, Tomas went to strike Richards with that patented umbrella, but the referee pulled from his arms. Disheveled, the young upstart walked into a devastating 2K1 Bomb from Richards. Three slaps of the mat later, and the brawler from Broken Arrow, OK picked up the duke.
For those close to Ricky, this win was very important to him. He and Mikey knew each other going back to the Middle Village Wrestling days at the ACE Arena, and he wanted to do it for him.
Congrats Ricky Richards. Welcome back from Broken Arrow.
