The Mantoloking Road Playhouse in Brick, NJ played home to a history making day for Matt Pro Wrestling this past Friday the 13th, as Bayside Thriller crowned brand new Tag Team and Grand Champions!

R.E. Porter, friend of the site, sent in the happenings of this event.

-  Misery Inc of Troy Locke and Vi Daniel defeated No Colors, Just Brothers to open the show with  a Misery Machine after a miscue from Oliver, accidentally spearing Daniel Alexander.

- Lay’lah James defeated Francesca Chini & Tiphani Grady in a Triple Threat Match following an awesome Oklahoma Stampede.

- In a match with a seven-minute time limit to determine the first ever holder of the MPH Medal, Eric Corvis defeated Jumping Jim Wilder, Mikey Midnight & Tarzan Duran in six minutes when he pinned Midnight.

- Mod Squad defeated the Frat Party, “the Step Child” Connor Schafer & Joe Krule, who came from the crowd as a surprise when Tony Chini pinned Krule after putting his feet on the ropes with a roll-up.

- In the first ever MATTY’S PLAYHOUSE, Tiffany Avatar pinned “the Real Deal” Mike Goldstein. A cotton candy steel chair, legos, and duct tape, used to rip off body hair of Goldstein, were used throughout. Francesca Chini attempted to cost “the Cotton Candy Princess” the win, but was thwarted.

- “Sturdy” Sal Mistretta defeated Mateo Marcelos with a rolling spear and a fireman’s carry driver, after MPW Promoter Ray Ray Marz, who is in the middle of a rivalry with Mateo at Pro Wrestling Magic, stopped the demonic Cruiserweight from using a chair.

- In a BWO Legacy match, Marz pinned “the American Outlaw” Dan Murdoch following a miscommunication between Murdoch and Mateo.

- In the first of two title matches, Luca Brazzi and Jimmy Konway of South Philly’s Finest defeated Radley Belmont and Wade Krueger of the Stepdads to become the first ever MPW Tag Team Champions. After the match, SPF laid out Belmont with the Philly club, leaving him laying, prime for his second championship match mere moments later.

- After two referees taken out, and a Hell of a beating laid upon him, Belmont pinned Darius Carter to become the first ever MPW Grand Champion, with the count coming from Ray Ray Marz.
