FOUR WAY GUT CHECK FOR #1 CONTENDERSHIP TO FAW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP ON 5/16

Florida All-Star Wrestling makes its debut on May 16, 2026 at the VFW Post 10209 on Edward R. Noll Drive, Spring Hill, FL with a 4:30 PM Belltime for Spring Fever.

There are such an eclectic group of stars on this event, including former TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, former ECW World Tag Team Champion “Pitbull” Gary Wolfe, and various representatives of Super Strong Pro Wrestling and Veteran Pro Wrestling.

However, the main event is what has piqued my interest for 5/16.

A four-way #1 contender’s match will take place for the FAW Heavyweight Championship between “Core Kid” Javi, Martin Stone, Psycho Chase McCoy, and Alex Horvath, who will have the legend Bill Alfonso in his corner!

“Core Kid” Javi has been on a tear since leaving NXT in 2025. The former Javier Bernal has really turned it up a notch, putting on great matches wherever he’s been. Javi recently had a fantastic contest with “the ReVolVer” Alex Reiman in Pro Wrestling Magic back in March and has really turned heads up-and-down the Eastern coast line. With Florida as his home base, it would mean so much to the Ave Maria native to become the #1 contender to the FAW Heavyweight Championship.

Chase McCoy truly lives up to his “Psycho” moniker. Best known for his work during the various World Wrestling Network Proving Ground events, McCoy has set a goal to become the best wrestler in Florida. Could the relentless Psycho set himself up to be the next man in line to gain a shot at the Heavyweight gold?

The European cult legend Martin Stone has really transformed himself over the past year. The former NXT Tag Team Championship has turned into a “Fixer”, an absolute grizzled asskicking machine, unafraid of any human being or situation. He might be the odds-on favorite to win this fatal four-way. Could Stone be “fixing” to destroy everyone in his path to become the #1 contender?

Alex “the Body” Horvath is an absolute beast. Seemingly sculpted from granite and built double-tough, he is in the prime of his career, looking and aiming for gold in Florida All-Star Wrestling. Now, with “the Manager of Champions” Bill Alfonso in his corner, Horvath seems unstoppable. Mr. Alfonso has led legends to championships, including Rob Van Dam and the late, great Sabu, as well as being the hype man for Taz. On top of which, Fonzie knows the tools of the trade and can provide “the Body” with insight on how to win major matches.

Four men with one goal in mind - the #1 contendership to the FAW Heavyweight Championship? Who will survive at Spring Fever on May 16? Be there in Spring Hill. It’s a show you won’t want to miss.
