Eric Young Prepares to Face "The Boot" in CWF CANADA

I love exploring the world of independent wrestling and finding promotions or matches that intrigue me.

I was lucky enough to search and discover the Canadian Wrestling Federation, based out of Ontario, Canada.

On April 27, 2024, CWF CANADA will be running Canadian Warfare, in which will be their first show at their new wrestling studio, located at 203 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, ON, Canada.

The main event of that night will host a battle of two wild and cagey veterans, as Rex Atkins prepares to go one-on-one with the one and only ERIC YOUNG.

Many know Eric Young for his longevity in Total Nonstop Action. He has won every championship there is to hold there, including being a two-time former World Heavyweight Champion, X-Division Champion, four-time Tag Team Titleholder, and my personal favorite, the former World Beer Drinking Champion. He has been well versed in any role in the company and has proven to truly be on the Mount Rushmore of TNA talent. Furthermore, he even lost his “sanity” at one point and went to WWE to become one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions. His resume is second-to-none.

Meanwhile, the career of Rex Atkins has been nothing short of underrated. A near twenty-year veteran in his own right, “the Boot” has done the drives and traveled all over Canada and the Northern United States to build his reputation as one of the toughest men to lace up a pair of boots. Built like Jos “the Butcher” LeDuc and as tough as Leo Burke, Atkins throws strikes like nobody’s business. He truly is as old school as it gets, and it shows in his work inside the ropes. Over the past few years, Atkins has been able to get down and battle with the new generation of the industry, including Josh Alexander, Joey Janela, and even the great Rene Dupree.

On the 27th at Canadian Warfare, Atkins and EY will do battle. What better way to break in a new venue for CWF CANADA than to have two grizzled Canadian veterans fight like there’s no tomorrow!

I truly hope the fans in Catharines, Ontario gets to enjoy this incredible contest live and this footage gets online.

Support independent wrestling all across the world. It keeps the business alive and fresh.
