BANKIE'S HOT TAKE #99 - Savage/Conway II: This Saturday at TCW in Manchester
A few days ago, it was announced by Titan Championship Wrestling management that the current TCW and Funhouse Heavyweight Champion PJ Savage would be defending his championships this Saturday night at Rise of the Titans at the Manchester Little League Indoor Facility in Manchester, NJ against Joey Conway!
This match is highly anticipated for the TCW fan base. However, according to my sources in the independent wrestling pipeline, Savage is looking to even the score.
On March 30, 2024 at the world-renowned NYWC Sportatorium in Deer Park, Long Island, NY, Conway successfully defended his NYWC Heavyweight Championship against Savage in a fantastic contest.
With Savage already holding two Heavyweight Championships, his attempt to make own tri-state version of the Triple Crown was dispelled. The competitive nature of the TCW and Funhouse Champion is second-to-none. Savage wants to achieve success by any means necessary.
Meanwhile, Conway also has an insatiable appetite for success as well. The brooding New York native is afraid of NO ONE. He could brawl with monsters like The Big O and Rex Lawless, get technical with Brian Johnson and Sal Sivelli, and fly with the best junior heavyweights. He can adapt like no one else.
In TCW, Conway is 2-0 in 2024 with victories over Vinny Pacifico and Trey Felipe. Meanwhile, Savage has four successful championship defenses over the likes of J Boujii, Stan Stylez, Joel Maximo, and Kris Kage ever since winning the gold against Anthony Gangone on October 14, 2023 in Hoboken (no jokin’).
Could the shift of power in TCW happen with Jimmy Conway winning the TCW and Funhouse Heavyweight Championships at Rise of the Titans? Or will PJ Savage continue his reign of domination and gain a win back against the talented challenger on Saturday?
Savage/Conway II is going to tear it up.
