AZRIEAL'S TWO (POTENTIAL) PWM HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE DEFENSES IN SIX DAYS IN JULY

“The Good Guy” Azrieal has been on an absolute tear as Pro Wrestling Magic Heavyweight Champion throughout 2026.
Smiley, “The Revolver” Alex Reiman, Darius Carter, Vi Daniel, Mateo Marcelos, and “Dr. Sleep” Anthony Gangone have been victims in the path of the New Jersey independent wrestling legend.
Now, with two July Pro Wrestling Magic events within six days of each other, the PWM Champion will have two very different, yet grueling defenses on those shows.
First, on the Magic and Spark Joshi Puroresu joint event Nothing Else Matters on July 12, 2026 at the Mecca in Ridgefield Park, NJ, Az defends against “the World Famous” Cheeseburger and “Power Punch” Vinny Pacifico.
To this writer, Cheeseburger might be the greatest Junior Heavyweight grappler in independent wrestling history. The man can chain-wrestle like nobody’s business. On the flip side, Pacifico’s standard yet aggressive offense got him this title shot after beating Abraham Khan at Hardwired on June 20, 2026. Azrieal will be involved in a styles clash in every sense of the word.
Meanwhile, six days later at the Meadowlands YMCA in East Rutherford, NJ, “the Good Guy”, if he makes it through Burger and Pacifico at Nothing Else Matters, faces a very familiar foe in “the Chessmaster” Rob Vegas at (Welcome Home) Sanitorium.
Rob Vegas has consistently been one of American Championship Entertainment’s wrestlers over the past two decades. He is called “the Chessmaster” because every time he wrestles, he picks apart his opponents in the squared circle like he is on the chess board. Once he locks out the Checkmate, his version of a Texas Cloverleaf, it is over.
Ironically enough, the relationship between Azrieal and Vegas is a close one. Both men have known each other their entire careers. At one time, Vegas and Azrieal were a part of the Hollywood Inc faction in the late 2000s. They have seen the highs and the lows.
If Az does not make it out of July 12 with the title, this will be a standard singles contest.
Azrieal has proven time and time again that he is the legend that can still go. Can he make it out of July with the Pro Wrestling Magic Heavyweight Title? Come see for yourself.
