"The Rad Dad" defends the MPW Grand Title vs Mateo at Otherside 9/4/26

For over a year, “the Rad Dad” Radley Belmont has represented Matt Pro Wrestling with pride and honor as the inaugural Grand Champion. He has taken on all comers and has become, as Hooper has written about on HQ, “the best booked champion in New Jersey”.
Now, Matt Pro’s Iron Man will be defending the Grand Championship at Otherside on September 4, 2026 at the Mantoloking Playhouse in Mantoloking, NJ against the leader of El Pacto Diabolico and all around supernatural lunatic Mateo Marcelos!
Marcelos has been a figurative and literal nightmare to everyone in both Matt Pro and Pro Wrestling Magic over the past couple of years. His demented self has gone beyond our universe and entered other worldly realms to gain his powers through manipulation and force. He truly is a multiverse force to be reckoned with.
His crave for power has consumed him. And the power in Matt Pro is the Grand Championship.
At Double Vision back on April 12, Mateo came within an eyelash of becoming champion in a triple-threat match against both Belmont and Darius Carter. However, “the Rad Dad” yet again found a way to survive with his belt and his spirit.
Now, at Otherside on 9/4, Marcelos has, what presumably is, the final opportunity at the Grand Championship. Even with MPW Promoter Ray Ray Marz as a part of EPD, there are just so many opportunities you can get at the title.
Can Belmont survive one more time and continue on as Grand Champion on 9/4? Or will Mateo finally reach the promised land and end the legendary reign of “the Rad Dad”?
