The Rad Dad Defends MPW Grand Title against a Diabolico & a Debonair Dominant on 4/12/26

Radley Belmont has been a fighting Matt Pro Wrestling Grand Champion since beating “Wrestling’s Richest Prize” Darius Carter in a tournament final at Bayside Thriller on June 13, 2025 at the Mantoloking Playhouse in Mantoloking, NJ. In fact, dare I say, even prior to this night, “the Rad Dad” had been Matt Pro’s Iron Man, surviving for extended lengths in gauntlet matches and multiple contests a night.
As Grand Champion, Belmont has successfully defended his title against “Sturdy” Sal Mistretta, Jack Maertens twice, and his own partner Wade Krueger. At Runnin’ Wild, Belmont issued an Open Challenge, which Mikey Midnight answered, but had the match thrown out due to interference by El Pacto Diabolico and its manipulative leader Mateo Marcelos.
Later on in the night, Marcelos scored a winning fall against Belmont in a six-man tag between EPD and the Stepdads & Midnight. Then, in a shocker, Darius Carter made his return to Matt Pro and demanded a shot at Belmont’s title.
Ray Ray Marz, Promoter of Matt Pro and a controversial figure in multiple companies as of late, decided that at the two-year anniversary show Double Vision on April 12, 2026, “the Rad Dad” would be defending his Grand Championship against BOTH Marcelos and Carter!
This is definitely the BIGGEST match in Matt Pro Wrestling history.
Marcelos has been a thorn in many participants’ side over the past few years. His wrestling pedigree cannot be denied. However, he holds the key to devious nature and is not afraid to cheat or be as vicious as possible to win. His reign as Pro Wrestling Magic Dark Arts exemplifies that.
Carter HATES losing. He absolutely detests it. A wrestler with the drive and, dare I say, ego of “the Allfather” always needs to have his win back. Radley Belmont having a winning record over Carter, especially in a tournament of all things, cannot stand.
This will be the most important night in Matt Pro Wrestling to date. Support Matty Marzarella and the entire Matt Pro family. Belmont vs Marcelos vs Carter is definitely a main event classic waiting to unfold. April 12, 2026 will make you see Double Vision.
