Ever since returning to independent wrestling back in January for Pro Wrestling Magic, Dan Murdoch has been looking for that elusive first pinfall victory.

This past Saturday, everything changed.

At the East Rutherford YMCA for Magic’s The Big Legursky event, “the American Outlaw” achieved the goal, successfully defeating Alexander Bateman of El Pacto Diabolico. This was Murdoch’s first singles victory since January 2014 for American Championship Entertainment, pinning “the Good Guy” Azrieal.

EPD, in particular Mateo Marcelos, has been playing mind games with Murdoch, especially after Steve Off, Murdoch’s long time friend, joined the faction several months ago. “The American Outlaw” has been trying to fight joining “the dark side” by any means necessary.

Before Bateman even had a chance to make it to the ring, Murdoch got the upper hand, thanks to a steel chair, cutting off emcee and PWM General Manager Shane Fair’s introductions.

Following a back and forth fight, Murdoch countered Bateman and leveled him with a picture-perfect cutter, scoring a pinfall. Afterwards, the PWM World Junior Heavyweight Champion and “El Oso Blanco” Bruno, the World Heavyweight Champion, made their way towards the ring, mentally distracting and sharing words with the victor.

“The American Outlaw” refused to bend, instead BREAKING the steel chair over Bateman’s back.

With this war continuing, and Stepbrothers, the all steel cage event upcoming on June 21 at “the Mecca” in Ridgefield Park, NJ, on the horizon, will this rivalry reach a crescendo? Or is it only the beginning?
