Ever since Darius Carter’s 553 day reign as ECWA Heavyweight Champion came to an end on March 22, 2025 at the hands of L.A. Vin, “Wrestling’s Richest Prize” has been about one thing: getting his championship back.
Sure, there have been chances. On May 2, 2026 at the Jersey Dugout in Marlboro, NJ, Carter beat Vin via disqualification, but he didn’t win the belt.
Now, at Chey-boree on September 12, 2026 in Marlboro, the fighting champion Vin and Carter do battle once more for the ECWA Heavyweight Title, but this time, it will be NO DISQUALIFICATION.
L.A. Vin has been a fighting titleholder, defending against all comers. Russian Assassin #6, Abs Armstrong, King Reginald twice, Dan Stofko, and Mr. Ooh La La have all fallen victim to the champion. However, with Carter’s DQ victory as the lone blemish, Vin wants to right that wrong.
On the flip side, the 2022 and 2024 Super 8 Tournament winner Carter has the reputation in the tri-state area of being a winner. Losing the ECWA Heavyweight Title, before HIS time was up, has bothered him for close to 18 months. “The Allfather” knows that the ECWA Heavyweight Title means legacy, importance, and legitimate press, especially inside of Pro Wrestling Illustrated. That nationwide notoriety as champion is as good as gold, especially for Carter’s big ego.
All roads lead to Chey-boree. Can Vin finally move forward and upend Carter one more time to continue as ECWA’s top dog? Or will Darius Carter win back the belt he feels he should have never lost?
Vin/Carter III is can’t miss. Be there in Marlboro on 9/12. This will be an incredible night.
