In a match that has a lot of intrigue to it, Outkast Wrestling Revolution has booked a match between two independent legends at Red, White, & Booed on July 11, 2026 at the Ledyard Middle School in Gales Ferry, CT.
Broken Chains Hardcore Champion and ECW Original Jason Knight will be defending his championship against New England Independent Wrestling Icon “Brutal” Bob Evans!
Jason’s legacy in ECW cannot be understated. The one-time “Sexiest Man on Earth” was a former ECW World Television Champion, defeating Mikey Whipwreck on the August 16, 1994 edition of Hardcore TV. He also gave ECW commentator Joey Styles immense hives just standing near him, a tremendous feat.
Furthermore, Jason’s guidance cannot be understated. He managed the Impact Players of Justin Credible and Lance Storm to two reigns as ECW World Tag Team Champions, and, on his last appearance at CyberSlam 2000, managed Credible to the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. His presence and leadership was felt throughout not just ECW, but the Northeast independent circuit as a whole.
Meanwhile, “Brutal” Bob’s career has been on a steady rise that hasn’t really dipped. Building his career out of New England, Bob’s career has garnered critical acclaim. Whether guiding Mike Bennett’s early days in Ring of Honor, building the best unsigned tag team duo in independent wrestling with Tough Tim Hughes, or guiding the future of wrestling with his “Hangs With Bob” seminars, Bob has remained relevant and ever the hard worker.
Seeing OWR’s Broken Chains Hardcore Title on the line builds quite the intrigue. “Brutal” Bob has never been known to be a hardcore wrestler in any stretch, but he has hung in there with the toughest of talents. Meanwhile, Jason, thanks to his ECW days, has been dishing and receiving beatings his entire career.
I hope you fans are able to check out this unique encounter. “The Sexiest Man on Earth” against “Brutal” Bob has the potential to be the show stealer on July 11. Be there and watch a wrestling clinic.
