#LETHALVSMURDOCH: 24 HOURS TO GO

A few months ago, I had written a blog about how the match between Jay Lethal and Dan Murdoch, 20 Years In The Making, was more than a match to me.
I have written about that here: https://www.hardwayhq.com/single-post/lethal-vs-murdoch-more-than-just-a-match-to-me
However, the match, which was scheduled for December 20, 2025 at Kingdom Come X, never happened.
Mr. Lethal explained that fully here:
That final line…”Have a horrible time, Murdoch,” stuck in “the Outlaw’s” craw. So much so that later on in the night against the Hunter, Lethal’s replacement, Murdoch unleashed the move HE created, the All-American Knockout to pick up the victory.
For the past three months, every time Murdoch has entered the ring, he has delivered an All-American Knockout as a point to illustrate, and subtly nudge Lethal, that he is the innovator of that move.
Tomorrow night, this is the main event.
If you would’ve told me that Dan Murdoch eighteen months ago would’ve been in the main event of a wrestling show, I would’ve called you crazy. Murdoch was out of wrestling. He was as far removed from a wrestling ring as anyone else could be.
But now, he is.
If you would’ve told me that Dan Murdoch would have his match against Jay Lethal, I, again, would’ve called you crazy. It almost happened in 2013. It almost happened in December 2025. It almost never happened at all.
But now, it has.
I understand that Jay has had, arguably, one of the greatest careers of all time. He has faced legends. He has carried wrestling companies on his back. He has walked into Madison Square Garden as ROH World Champion. He might very well be New Jersey’s greatest wrestling product ever.
But this might very well be the most personal match Jay has ever had. Dan Murdoch is the last student from the ACE Wrestling Academy left standing. Not only has Murdoch returned to wrestling, he did it on his own terms. And for this match to happen, Murdoch had to have the patience of Job and the belief that one day, it would.
Tomorrow night, it will. And, professionally, it is definitely about Murdoch thinking that Jay stole his All American Knockout and making it the Lethal Injection. There is legitimate beef there.
But tomorrow night, at Pro Wrestling Magic One, it’s more personal than you can ever imagine.
I know that some of the Lethal Experiments, the students that trained under Jay at the ACE Wrestling Academy, will be in attendance tomorrow night. I know Murdoch’s family will be there. I even heard a rumor that my brother B-Sizzle might stop by. This is a very personal night for a lot of people.
24 Hours To Go.
Don’t miss this match. I certainly am not.
